Kelowna Reshaped: The New Communities Of Ella, One Water Street and Drysdale Row

Kelowna is usually associated with a nice summer “vacay”, a weekend getaway to enjoy spectacular scenery, the beaches and Okanagan Lake, but now Kelowna is a fast growing “Smart City” with a burgeoning Tech Centre, the fastest growing in Canada, a environmentally friendly University which actually works with the Tech Centre to provide training to students to do the jobs needed, Okanagan College, a large and growing Hospital and research facilities affiliated with it, and access to numerous Lakes and Ski hills within an hours drive. What more can you ask for, maybe perfect weather? In my view you have the four season resort, hands down.

Kelowna’s growth and a strong job market resulted in a high demand for housing options, and since inventory has been low in some housing categories, the City has approved plans to build several high rise luxurious residential buildings which will not only enrich the skyline but is reviving Kelowna and its downtown core. Downtown properties now have multiple offers! To cope with the increase in housing needs a series of new stunning development projects were launched, some sold out within two weeks! Residents will get to enjoy trendy, master-planned, and innovative housing options Toronto and Vancouver style, as soon as the three major communities - Ella, One Water Street and Ellis Parc, to name a few, are completed. The fact that the pre-construction condos and  Glenmore townhomes have been mostly sold out indicates how busy the Kelowna real estate market has become. This comes as no surprise given that Downtown Kelowna hasn't seen many residential investment projects in the past years, and it was high time to break old habits.
