Lest We Forget

Every year, on November eleventh, we respect veterans who have served in wartime and recall the warriors who passed on in military administration.
Recognition Day denotes a critical development on the planet history. It helps us to remember the penances made by people, families, and whole nations to end the First World War in 1918 and establish the framework for current majority rule government.

Residents will get to enjoy trendy, master-planned, and innovative housing options Toronto and Vancouver style, as soon as the three major communities - Ella, One Water Street and Ellis Parc, to name a few, are completed. The fact that the pre-construction condos and  Glenmore townhomes have been mostly sold out indicates how busy the Kelowna real estate market has become. Your Vote Matters on October 20th

Politics can be an uncomfortable topic of conversation around the dinner table.


It’s controversial and when people have different opinions it can lead to arguments and fights. However, just because something makes you uncomfortable does not mean you should ignore it.
One of the biggest problems in current society is that people ignore politics and don’t pay attention to the news and recent events.
As a result, people heading to the polls might be misinformed or poorly informed, or the elections are just absent of voters in general.
As a citizen, it is your civic duty to vote in your local, provincial, and national elections.
I’m not going to try to sway anyone in who they should vote for, whether they lean left or right is none of my business and changing their mind isn’t my place. Everyone is different and has had different experiences in life. These experiences influence how you view social, economic, and political issues.
It wouldn’t be right for me to try to influence you to vote in a way that I personally feel is best. However, I do feel it’s important to inform people about the upcoming elections.

The housing market in Kelowna is no different than anywhere in Canada where prices have enjoyed sustained increases over the last ten years. A question I am often asked is when will the bubble burst?

The truth is that a bubble bursts when there is a major economic shift, and we are having no major shifts such as the oil crash in 2015, or the recession of 2008-2009 caused by the sub-prime collapse. Sure, sales are down. The economy seems fairly stable, if a little uncertain, right now due to the new Provincial taxes and Federal regulations. Kelowna Yacht Club – More Than Just Boats

In 1945 when Kelowna was still just a small town, there wasn’t much of a boating community. A surprising fact considering Kelowna is home to the beautiful Okanagan Lake. With nothing in place, a group of boat owners began to develop the Kelowna Yacht Club. It started small, with the founders initially focusing on building launching facilities and a clubhouse. However, this only provided the base for the club, and since then has blossomed into the beautiful community that it is today.

When you think of a yacht club, you may form a quick opinion or expectations. However, the Kelowna Yacht Club is different from your average boating club. It’s a non-profit organization with a heavy focus on community. Thousands of children and young adults over the years have learned to sail through lessons that are open to the public. Accessibility to these lessons is as inclusive as possible in order to give everyone the opportunity to learn. Each year roughly 30 adults complete the learn-to-sail course where boat owners donate their boats and time to help develop the next generation of boaters. Read more>

Court Denies WestJet’s Attempt To Dismiss Harassment Lawsuit



A lawsuit, Lewis v. WestJet Airlines Ltd, 2017 BCSC 2327 (CanLII) commenced by a former WestJet flight attendant against her former employer will be proceeding despite efforts by WestJet to have the case dismissed.  WestJet brought an Application to Strike the Notice of Civil Claim brought by Mandalena Lewis, who proposed to bring a class-action lawsuit on behalf of “present and former female flight attendants employed by WestJet who were entitled to the benefit of the company’s Anti-Harassment Promise”, which Lewis claimed was not followed by WestJet.
