Rattlesnake Island:

A modest bit on the guide, Rattlesnake Island is found near the shore of Okanagan Lake, only east of Peachland.
Neighborhood legend has it that Ogopogo calls the island home, living in a submerged cavern. Today, the island is a piece of the Okanagan Mountain Park.
Regardless of its little size, Rattlesnake Island has an exceptionally fascinating history to tell and is a well known goal for local people and guests.
The Creature and the Grass
Legend of the strange and risky water animal N'ha-an itk (Snake of the Water) goes back as ahead of schedule as the 1700s, when the Okanagan First Nations offered ceremonial penances to the Ogopogo as a byproduct of safe passage into the water.

Lovely Spot on the Lake
Nowadays, the two local people and guests frequently stop at the island while sculling, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Rattler Island is a well known excursion spot, including a dazzling perspective on the lake and encompassing mountains.
Neighborhood history buffs can climb the island looking for the vacation destination remains. Those looking for more adrenaline, can either participate in the yearly Across the Lake Swim, or head to Squally Point close to the island to appreciate bluff hopping.
